A life-long fascination with woodcraft began at the age of 13 when Pete picked up a chisel and hammer to help his dad build the family post and beam barn. It was the rudimentary beginning of a heart-felt commitment to quality craftsmanship.
He began making small, simple pieces in the family workshop during high school ..a toy for a nephew, a jewelry box for his Mom. Sports took a back seat to his desire to create with his hands. Upon graduation from the University of New Hampshire he decided the creation of fine furniture should be his vocation. He embarked on his pursuit of woodcraft perfection by attending North Bennett Street School (for artisans) in Boston. There he learned the skills and designs of traditional craftsman, replicating high quality antique furniture.
He honed his skills working for a prominent Connecticut cabinetmaker and a nationally known dealer of antiques and authentic period reproductions. Hands-on experiences over the years have instilled in him a profound admiration for early American cabinetmakers who used only simple tools and their own skill to make furniture that withstands the test of time.
The early cabinetmakers meticulous attention to detail and time-tested construction techniques have become his own trademarks of superior quality. Fine Woodworking magazine has featured his work which is proudly displayed by customers from Colorado to New England.

From his first swing of a hammer on chisel as a youngster to today's caress of his hand over a finished piece one thing has remained constant; his pride in producing furniture of the very best quality which can be passed down from generation to generation.
